Saigon Corner: Authentic Vietnamese Bites with a Modern Twist in Sacramento

Pretty good for a sandwich, decent noodle soup. I was on the way back from Reno/Tahoe, so I looked for Vietnamese food in Sac that was also not too far off 80. There's a parking lot for the restaurant, which is right off of a few main roads. No table service. Just order at the counter. I got a bowl of the combo beef pho, along with a grilled chicken sandwich for later. The pho was a good size and reasonably priced. I just wish it had a little more flavor. The sandwich was quite good. I had a few bites fresh before packing up the rest for later. I think a lot of their stuff is just flavored towards the clientele and the neighborhood. I like a lot more aggressive Vietnamese flavors! But, it was clean and easy spot to get a snack on our doorstep.

Great food! Vermicelli bowl with pork was extremely fresh and very filling. Couldn't finish it. Pork was tender, lots of flavor, and good amount. Veggie egg roll was basic. Not much filling. It was extra so might pass next time. Popcorn chicken had a slight spice and super juicy. Very fast service. Will try pho next time. Saw the next tables and bowl looked huge and piping hot!

Natomas area highly recommended Vietnamese pho, banh mi and sinh to (smoothie) / boba shop. Also sells some general Vietnamese and oriental dried goods and non-perishable products. Food: Pho Bo (beef) - 5/5 - no choice you get the works of house special including all the beef cuts... along with an aromatic broth, noodles, fresh veggies Pho Ga (chicken) - 5/5 - delicious clear fragrant broth, noodles, fresh veggies and generous portion of chicken Bun bo hue - 4/5 - pretty good but not as aromatic flavorful as it should or could be Mi hoanh thanh - 3.5/5 - why is there beef gyoza INSTEAD of shrimp-pork wontons??? Everything else was really good like the broth, egg noodles, veggies, shrimp, slices of BBQ pork and chicharron (pork rinds)... but I was wanting specifically wontons Banh mi dac biet (special) - 5/5 - large baguette stuffed with cold cuts, pork roll and cheese Banh mi thit nguoi (cold cuts) - 5/5 - large baguette stuffed with generous amounts of cold cuts specifically ham Banh mi thit nuong (grilled pork) - 5/5 - large baguette stuffed with generous amounts of grilled marinated pork Goi cuon tom thit (shrimp & pork spring roll) - 5/5 - Avocado snow (smoothie) AKA sinh to bo - 5/5 - delicious rich and creamy Thai tea snow - 5/5 - nice slushee version of Thai iced tea Vietnamese coffee - 4/5 - good but not exceptional Ambience: Spacious very simple casual design Service: No complaints

My group and I were looking for a cheaper lunch spot near the Sac area, and were SO impressed by Saigon Corner. The prices were good, the food was even better, and the overall experience was 100% one I'd come back to. There was an adorable market section inside the restaurant as well, with lots of classic Vietnamese ingredients and snacks that can sometimes be hard to find in traditional grocery stores. The variety in food options was amazing, and everyone in my group loved what they got, from the pho to the Bahn Mis and the spring rolls. There were plenty of vegetarian options which were super appreciated, and all the portions were quite big for what we paid. We overall, though it may not have looked like much from the outside, it was a truly impressive hidden gem, which more than deserves its 5-star rating.

Whenever I'm craving a banh mi, this is the spot to get one! This is a quick food service type of place but I would recommend calling in your order so your food will be ready to pick up when you get there. The ambiance is very home-y and it has a mini market inside if you need some essential Asian ingredients. Overall an awesome spot for Vietnamese snacks and lunch!

Love their Bahn Mi witg warn fresh cooked meat and yummy spread on fresh French roll. It is still quite the bargain at $7.49 and among the very best in the Sacramento area!
